Fish Allergy
An allergy is a reaction or response improper agency to a substance (allergen). In food allergy, the allergen is mainly a protein of a food with which we come into contact by ingestion, or inhalation.
Fish is, along with seafood, the food more likely to cause allergies. Its own proteins, histamine is formed by decomposing (highly antigenic protein) and the Anisakis parasite can cause allergic reactions.
Anisakis simplex is a parasite of about 2 centimeters long, whose larvae live in the digestive tract of many species such as hake, tuna, cod, cephalopods (octopus, cuttlefish and squid) and crustaceans (lobsters, crabs). The parasite enters humans by eating raw fish, salted, smoked, pickled, marinated or undercooked, and may cause an allergic reaction in sensitive individuals, sometimes severe. Milk Intolerance
Despite its nutritional value, cow’s milk is contraindicated in specific situations, as in the case of those with the following conditions:
Lactose intolerance. Condition characterized by the inability to digest milk sugar because of the decreased activity (or even absence) of the enzyme lactase, which is processed in the gut.
This impedes the absorption of nutrients, so it passes into the large intestine without being processed and there is broken (chemical reduction of other less complex, for subsequent absorption) by the microorganisms in the intestinal flora (bacteria that contribute to digestion, thus producing gas, stomach pain more or less intense spasm (involuntary, sudden, violent muscle or group of them) and diarrhea, symptoms that mainly affect the elderly, who lose the functions mentioned above. Eye Irritation – Causes and Symptoms
Eye irritation is caused by enlarged, dilated blood vessels of the white portion of the eye (sclera) that give the appearance of redness, and bloodshot.
Causes
Allergy to some external agent (allergen) such as pollen, flowers, pet hair, moisture or certain drugs, compounds that the immune system recognizes as foreign, which results in histamine, a chemical that causes redness, burning, tearing and itching. Read the rest of this entry »
Antihistamines and Allergic Diseases

Antihistamines are of great help in controlling allergic type diseases, such as:
Angioedema. Inflammation and fluid accumulation in the deeper layers of the skin, especially that part of the hands, feet and face, although it may occur in the throat and difficulty breathing or swallowing ability. Its appearance is associated with the ingestion of certain foods and medications that are not well tolerated by the body.
Asthma. Chronic disease that clogs the respiratory tract because it inflames the tubes that carry air to the lungs, usually manifests itself by presenting an exaggerated sensitivity to irritants such as pollen, smoke, dust, certain products or animal hair. Read the rest of this entry »
ANTIHISTAMINES – Allergies and Risk Factor (II)
However, it is important to know that the body there are three types of receptors (structures that receive a substance to produce a reaction) for histamine, which include:
H1. They relate to the immediate allergic response and the appearance of the following symptoms: runny nose, sneezing, itchy nose and throat and to a lesser degree, watery eyes, redness and swelling in eyes and a rash of rashes. Found in the hypothalamus (gland in the brain responsible for regulating hormone), neurons (nerve cells), blood vessels and certain regions of the brain.
H2. Involved in regulating the secretion of gastric juice and hydrochloric acid stomach.
H3. Are present in nerve endings and are responsible to self-regulate the release of histamine. Read the rest of this entry »
ANTIHISTAMINES – Allergies and Risk Factor (I)

The environment are exposed contains both harmless and harmful elements, which can enter the body through the respiratory tract, gastrointestinal tract, skin and mucous membranes, and when this happens, the immune system (the one who defends us from external aggression) is activated and identifies whether the substances that enter the body are harmful or not.
However, there are times when acts unreasonably and recognized as dangerous (when in reality they tend to affect most people), leading to the production of histamine, compound responsible for producing allergic reactions can be manifested by congestion and runny nose, watery eyes, sneezing, sore skin, rashes, itching, dizziness, headache and diarrhea. Here are some tips to minimize the effects of this troublesome situation:
- Check frequently the atmospheric concentration of pollen grains to know what to expect. Overall, 50 grains/m3 air is considered a reactive amount able to begin to cause symptoms, but also depends on the person.
As guidance information should be noted that the pollen tends to be released during the day while at night reduces production. Therefore, whenever we can, it’s interesting to try to postpone the activities into the sunset. For the same reason you have to have the windows closed during the day. Read the rest of this entry »
