Lice are wingless insects that live on human skin and feed on blood. The sting can cause intense itching from an allergic reaction to a toxin in the saliva of these insects.

Head Lice

Lice are endemic and is as common as a cold. Its dissemination may occur by direct contact or through contaminated abruption and personal items like hats, caps, combs, brushes, hair accessories, headphones, pillows and stuffed toys or dolls.

Lice symptoms include:
* Intense itching
* Generalized skin eruptions
* Bloating or swelling of the glands in the neck
