Tips for Allergy

At this time of year the pollen allergy symptoms begin to generate their discomfort. And remember that, although we are not allergic, this situation can change suddenly. That is, we can begin to develop allergies without notice.
Here are some tips to minimize the effects of this troublesome situation:
- Check frequently the atmospheric concentration of pollen grains to know what to expect. Overall, 50 grains/m3 air is considered a reactive amount able to begin to cause symptoms, but also depends on the person.
As guidance information should be noted that the pollen tends to be released during the day while at night reduces production. Therefore, whenever we can, it’s interesting to try to postpone the activities into the sunset. For the same reason you have to have the windows closed during the day.
However, there is an early rise in the levels of pollen (this is due to the effect of nocturnal temperature inversion), so try to sleep with the windows closed.
- During the time of pollination try not to frequent places such as parks, forests, gardens or areas where there is much vegetation, and if you do not forget to bring some sun to protect the conjunctiva of the eye.
- Remember that normally on windy days, sunny and dry pollen extends.
- When traveling by car keep the windows closed and use a pollen filter in the vehicle.
- Avoid using the bicycle or motorcycle.
- At mealtime, wash or peel fresh vegetables because the pollen grains tend to accumulate on the surface.
- Consider that during the pollination stage of allergic people are more sensitive to a number of other stimuli such as air fresheners, chemicals, snuff smoke, pollution and physical efforts.
